List your plans beside the architects and the Pattern Book
Dudils sorts plans by whether they work on the searcher's block, not by who paid for placement. A well oriented plan from a one person practice sits ahead of a badly oriented one from a national builder, and the link on it goes to you.
Listing is free. You tell us which states you work in, upload the floor plan with its dimensions, and a registered architect reviews it before it goes live.

Leads from the region you work in
You tell us which states you work in, and the search only shows your plans to people building there. A buyer with a block in your area finds a plan that fits it, and the enquiry lands on your website.
A followed link to your business
Every approved plan links to your website with a normal followed link, and your own page in the builder directory does the same. Those links come from pages about house plans and orientation, and search engines count them toward your site's authority.
An architect's review you can point to
Shea Cullen, Nominated Registered Architect NSW 9748, reviews every plan. An approved listing means a registered architect has checked the orientation, and the review is recorded against the plan. That is something to show a client who asks whether the design has been looked at independently.
Drawn on the client's block
In NSW a searcher sees your floor plan on their own cadastre lot, north up, with the setbacks drawn. The client arrives having already seen the plan on their site.
No separate tier for building designers
Plans are listed by how they fit the block and by the architect's score. There is no paid placement and no builders only section, so your plan and an architect's plan and a Pattern Book design are presented the same way.
What our architect checks
Every plan is reviewed personally by Shea Cullen, Nominated Registered Architect NSW 9748, against three things:
- North facing living areas. The main living zones get winter sun when the plan sits on the right block.
- Garage placement. The garage sits to the west or south, where it buffers the home from heat and cold instead of taking the best light.
- Windows where they matter. Every north facing room has a window to collect that light.
A plan that cannot meet this on any block is knocked back, and we say why. Renders, elevations and marketing images are not accepted: the review needs the floor plan itself.

Each plan takes a few minutes: the block width and depth it is drawn for, which way north falls on the plan, the garage side, and a clean floor plan image. Add up to 20 plans in one sitting. Every approved plan links to the business website you enter.
Questions building designers ask
- Do I need to be a registered builder to list?
- No. Any practice that designs houses can list: building designers, drafting services and design and construct firms. You tell us which states you work in, and the design type Building designer design is preselected on this page.
- Can I list a plan I designed for a builder?
- Only if you hold the right to publish it. If the builder owns the design, ask them to list it on the builders page, or send them there. A plan listed without the right to publish it comes down as soon as we hear.
- Is the link to my website a real, followed link?
- Yes. Every approved plan links to your website with a standard link and no nofollow attribute, and so does your page in the builder directory. Search engines treat those links as a vote for your site, and they come from pages about house plans and orientation, which is the subject your site is about.
- Why would a plan be knocked back?
- Three reasons cover almost every rejection: the living areas cannot face north on any block, the garage sits on the north side, or a north facing room has no window. We tell you which one applied. Where a small change would get the plan through, such as a window on a north facing bedroom, we say so.
- What image do you need?
- One floor plan image per plan: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF or AVIF, under 10 MB. Renders, elevations and marketing images are not accepted because the review reads the room layout, and a PDF or SVG will not upload. A plan with two storeys needs the ground floor.
- How long does the review take?
- Shea reviews plans personally, in the order they arrive. Approved plans go live in search automatically. If a plan is knocked back we say why, and an email to shea@goodarchitect.com.au gets you the change that would get it through.
- Can I take a plan down later?
- Yes. Email shea@goodarchitect.com.au with the plan and we remove it. The listing is yours to keep up or pull at any time, and there is no contract behind it.
