Privacy
Dudils is a house plan search engine run by Good Architect Pty Ltd, an Australian architecture practice. This page says what the site collects, why it collects it, who else sees it and how to have it removed. If anything here is unclear, email shea@goodarchitect.com.au and ask.
What we collect
Your email address, if you give it to us. The updates sign up asks for an email and, optionally, a first name. We send a confirmation email first and you are only added to the list once you click the link in it. Every update email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes one click with nothing to log in to.
The block you search. When you look up a NSW address we ask the government cadastre for that parcel and cache the block outline, its dimensions and the nearby road geometry for 30 days, so the next person to search the same block does not cost another lookup. That cache is keyed on rounded coordinates rather than on you, it holds no name or email, and it deletes itself when it expires. The one exception is Pattern Book screening: if you are signed in, we record the addresses you screen each month because that is how the monthly allowance is counted.
Anonymous usage data. Searches and page views are recorded without any name, email or address: block width and depth, which filters were used, how many results came back, device type and the referring website. It tells us which searches return nothing so we know which plans to go and find. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, our own analytics record nothing at all.
Anything you post or send. An account is an email address held by our sign in provider. Plan help requests and their replies are public threads, and the block drawing attached to one is deliberately stripped of the address first. A builder enquiry or a problem report is stored and emailed to us so we can answer it. Your saved plans live in your own browser and are never sent to us.
Who else sees it
The site runs on Vercel and the database is Supabase. Emails are sent through Resend. Pattern Book subscriptions are billed through Stripe, which handles the card details itself: we never see or store a card number. Sign up forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person rather than a script is filling them in.
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used, and Vercel Analytics for page speed. These are measurement tools, not advertising ones. There are no ad networks, no remarketing pixels and nothing here is sold to anyone.
When a block diagram draws an aerial photo or ground contours, your browser asks NSW Spatial Services and Geoscience Australia for the imagery over that area directly. They see the coordinates of the block being drawn, the same as any map website.
Where it is held, and for how long
Vercel and Supabase run on servers that may be outside Australia. A cached block expires after 30 days. An unconfirmed sign up is deleted after 30 days. Everything else is kept while it is still doing a job, and removed when you ask.
Deleting your data
Email shea@goodarchitect.com.au and ask, from the address you want removed, and we will delete your subscription, your account and anything you have posted. No form and no waiting period. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the change goes in the next update email rather than quietly onto the page. Dudils is made by Good Architect Pty Ltd. Questions go to shea@goodarchitect.com.au.
