Plan Help

We are building on 1,100 sqm just outside Wauchope and this is the one we keep coming back to. It is a wide design so it suits the block. Two questions for anyone who has lived in something like this. Is 371 sqm on one level too much house to heat and cool? And would you move any of the four bedrooms around? Happy to hear the bad news now rather than in a year.

Feedback wanted please. Knockdown rebuild in north west Sydney, 15.5 m frontage. Five bedrooms, one of them downstairs for my father in law. We have been through three rounds now and I have stopped being able to see it properly. Anything that stands out as a problem, or anything you wish you had done in a house this size?

Hi everyone. We sign with the builder in about three weeks and I would love some outside eyes before we do. Five bedrooms because my mum moves in with us next year, and the block is 15 m wide so we have a bit of room either side. What I keep going back and forth on is the kids wing sitting right off the living area. Is that going to drive us mad, or is it better having them close while they are little? Any changes you would make while it is still cheap to change them?

First home, 10 m wide block in Brisbane, so this is one of the few designs that fits. I am mainly after feedback on the ground floor. There is no separate living room downstairs, just the one open space off the kitchen. Is that going to feel small with two kids, or is it fine because you get the retreat upstairs? Please tell me if there is something obvious I am missing.

Looking for honest feedback before we go to contract. This is going on a 12.5 m block in western Sydney, so a narrow double storey is about the only thing that works. My worry is the upstairs living area. Everyone I talk to says they never use theirs. Would you keep it, or turn it into a fourth bedroom and a bigger main? Open to anything else you would change too.

Updated plan, second round with the drafter. This is for us to live in long term, not to sell, so I am after real opinions rather than resale ones. Corner block, street along the side as well as the front. The two things I would like thoughts on are the flow from the entry through to the living, and whether the main bedroom at the front is a mistake with a second street right there.
