Feng Shui Friendly House Plans Australia
North is always up, like Google Maps. Every plan here is turned so north points up the page.

These house plans pass all six feng shui layout checks read off the builder's floor plan: the front door is not in line with a back door, the stairs do not face the front door, the kitchen cannot be seen straight from the front door, no toilet door faces the front door, no toilet or kitchen sits in the centre of the house, and no bedroom sits over the garage. A check that cannot apply, such as the stairs in a single storey home, counts as a pass. A check the drawing cannot settle keeps a plan off this page.
Every plan here is also reviewed by an architect so its living areas face north, the same as every plan on Dudils. Schools of feng shui differ, so treat the label as a layout check rather than a full reading by a practitioner. The guide to feng shui house plans explains each check and what the label does not claim, and is a north facing house good feng shui in Australia covers the compass.
This page lists 237 plans, from builders including Integrale Homes, Ausmar Homes, Manor Homes, Carlisle Homes, priced from $122k to $637k, from builders rated 2.7 to 5.0 on Google.
Architect reviewed for real Australian blocks
Dudils checks each approved plan for the direction its living areas need to face, the block envelope it fits, and whether the garage or driveway placement supports passive solar design. It is a shortlist for better conversations with your builder, designer or architect.

Summer: eaves block sun
Winter: lower angle lets sun in
In winter the low northern sun streams through north facing windows for free heat. In summer a roof overhang blocks the high sun. Good orientation cuts your energy bills with no mechanical systems.

What do the feng shui checks on these plans mean?
What are the six feng shui checks?
They are six layout rules read off each floor plan: the front door is not in line with a back door or rear slider, the stairs do not face the front door, the kitchen cannot be seen straight from the front door, no toilet door faces the front door, no toilet or kitchen sits in the centre of the house, and no bedroom sits over the garage.
Do these plans still have north facing living areas?
Yes. Every category on Dudils keeps the north filter, so each plan here passes the six feng shui checks and has its main living areas facing north.
Is this a full feng shui reading?
No. It is a layout check of the six rules that can be seen on a floor plan. A practitioner also reads the compass direction of the house on its block, the street and the household, and schools of feng shui differ on those.
Why is a plan I like not on this page?
Either one check failed, or the drawing did not show enough to settle a check, which keeps the label off. Open the plan and look at the entry, the stairs, the kitchen and the toilets for yourself.
