It suits a block with the backyard to the north or south.
At 14.4 metres wide by 8 metres deep (about 115.2 square metres of floor area), the house needs a build width of roughly 16 metres once you allow for side setbacks. Across New South Wales, turning the living areas to the north keeps a home warm through a coastal or inland winter and easy to shade in summer.
