Olympus (Reversed) by fairmonthomes.com.au is a single storey house drawn so its main living areas face north for free winter warmth and natural summer cooling. On this page the floor plan is rotated so north is up, the same way Google Maps shows a site.
It suits a block with the backyard to the west, where the street and driveway sit to the east.
At 17 metres wide by 22.02 metres deep (about 339.64 square metres of floor area), the house needs a build width of roughly 18 metres once you allow for side setbacks. South Australia's hot dry summers and mild winters make orientation and shading central, and north facing living with the right eaves handles both.
