What our architect checks
Every submission is reviewed personally by a registered architect against three things:
- North facing living areas. The main living zones capture winter sun when the plan sits on the right block.
- Garage placement. The garage works to the west or south, where it buffers the home from heat and cold instead of stealing the best light.
- Windows where they matter. Every north facing room actually has a window to collect that light.
Plans that cannot meet this on any block are knocked back, and we say why. Renders, elevations and marketing images are not accepted: the review needs the floor plan itself.
How to upload
The upload page takes a few minutes per plan. You will need the site width and depth the plan is designed for, which way north falls on the plan, the garage side, and a clean floor plan image. Add as many plans in one sitting as you like.
After you submit, the plan sits in review until our architect has assessed it. Approved plans go live in search automatically. If we think a small change would get a rejected plan over the line, such as an extra window on a north facing room, we note it.
